near the embarcadero exit. three cars are involved in this accident, a white truck over there is one of the vehicles involved as well as that chp vehicle. to get more on this accident, i'm joined now by officer amelia jack with the chp. can you tell me what happened. >> approximately 6:49 this morning we received a call that there was a traffic collision involving a patrol vehicle and another vehicle that was overturned. upon our arrival, we found our patrol vehicle here had been struck. so the details that i've received so far is that our patrol vehicle had pulled up adjacent to a pickup truck on the shoulder who was broken down, changing a tire. they were both within the right hand shoulder and for an unknown reason as the patrol officer moved closer to the shoulder, he was struck from the rear by this lexus suv. the lexus suv continued northbound in the slow lane and then overturned on the shoulder and came to rest over off on the off ramp. as it overturned, two of the six parties in that suv were ejected. o
